In December 2011, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg selected the Technion and Cornell University to build an applied science and technology campus in New York City. With The Technion-Cornell Innovation Institute (TCII) at its core, the campus is poised to remake the Big Apple into a hub of innovation and technology, much like the Technion has done in Israel.
