Technion and Cornell set up shop at Google
Google will be the interim home of the Technion-Cornell Innovation Institute (TCII) and the Cornell NYC Tech Campus. Technion Professor Craig Gotsman, founding director of the TCII, was on hand for the announcement where he shared the stage with Google CEO Larry Page, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and Cornell University President David J. Skorton at Google's New York City headquarters.
Google will initially provide 22,000 square feet, expandable to 58,000 square feet, free of charge until the completion of the Roosevelt Island campus in 2017.
